William Wethington Obituary

William “Billy Ray” Wethington, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center.  He was 75.

Born January 1, 1945, in St. Bernard, Ohio, he was a son of the late William A. “Bill Mark” and Gracie Christine Wethington. Billy Ray was a former employee of Wolford and Wethington Lumber Company and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church.

Survivors include four brothers, Terry (and Carol) Wethington, Joey (and Belinda) Wethington, Robin (and Syrilla) Wethington, and Kevin (and Anna Jean) Wethington all of Liberty; three sisters, Arlene (and Stan) Cohen of Seattle, Washington, Julita Patten of Liberty, and Sandy Wolford of Liberty; a brother-in-law, Jimmy Whitt of Franklin, Ohio; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Billy Ray was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Wethington and Larry Wethington; and two sisters, Barbara Whitt and Brenda Wethington.

A funeral mass will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2020, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father George Otuma officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery. Facial coverings must be worn by everyone in attendance.

Billy Ray’s brothers and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
