William C. Stafford

William C. Stafford, of Bradfordsville, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Green Hill Rehab and Care. He was 79.

Born on February 17, 1945, in Boyle County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Hiram Hunter and Mary Ruth Dean Stafford. William was a phone repairman for GTE Corporation. He was a member of South Fork Community Church where he also served as deacon and treasurer. William was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bradfordsville.

William is survived by his wife, Sue Ann Lane Stafford, who he wed on February 23, 1964; a son, Steve (Melissa) Stafford of Junction City; and one granddaughter, Allison Stafford.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by five sisters, Betty, Rachel, Sylvia, Barbara, and Norma; and three brothers.

A memorial service will be held at South Fork Community Church in Bradfordsville at 11:30 A.M. on Friday, July 19, 2024, with Bro. Dwight Hatter officiating. Burial will be held at the Lebanon National Cemetery.  Marion County Honor Guard will be providing Military Honors.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hosparus Health or South Fork Community Church.
