Vernon T. Wesley

Vernon T. Wesley, of New Whiteland, IN, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at the Homeview Health & Rehab Center in Franklin, IN.  He was 85.

He was born September 29, 1940, in Casey County, KY to the late Clarence and Luevernie Gadberry Wesley.  Vernon worked for Arvin’s in Franklin, Indiana, for 40 years, where he worked as a punch press operator until they closed. When he would get off at Arvins in the fall time, he would go to Whiteland Orchard and pick apples in the evening, he did this for 20 years. 

Then he transferred to Columbus Components Group for 3 more years until he retired. Vernon worked part time on and off again with Tranters Industries and continued with them after retirement to stay busy for another 4 years.

Vernon loved being outdoors. He loved going fishing, mushroom hunting and going camping. He enjoyed doing things with all his grand kids.

Vernon is survived by his wife, Patricia Mason Wesley of New Whiteland, IN; two sons, Phil (and Annette) Wesley of Mooresville, IN and Jeff (and Amanda) Wesley of Brown County, IN; 6 grand kids, Justin Wesley of Indianapolis, IN, Kayla Baker of Oregon, Ty Wesley of Brown County, Ely Wesley of Brown County, Amberley Peterson of Paragon, IN and Gretchen Williamson of Martinsville, IN; one great granddaughter, Adeline Baker of Oregon; his brothers, Roy Dee Wesley, Rufus Jay Wesley and Wayne Lincoln Wesley; and his sisters, Ethel “Mayrine” Haste, Audrey Faye Ball, Aline Burton, Dorothy Marie Terwilliger, Mary Rose Haste, Lafern Blevins.

In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his sister, Betty Ruth Wesley; and his brothers, Lester Lee Wesley, Estel McKinley Wesley and Chester Thomas Wesley.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. David Terwilliger officiating.  Burial will follow in Watson Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Justin Wesley, Ty Wesley, Ely Wesley, Daniel Terwilliger, Blake Terwilliger, Jonah Terwilliger, Rylan Bradley, Samuel Terwilliger.
