Thelma Louise Mushin Elliott, of Middleburg, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at her home. She was 91.
Born on October 30, 1934, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Robert Mushin and Velma Montgomery Mushin. Thelma previously attended Middleburg United Methodist Church. She was a former night clerk for The Brown Motel in Liberty and enjoyed her years as a teacher’s aide at Middleburg Elementary. Thelma loved classical music, playing the piano and giving piano lessons at her home to many people.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela (and Dwaine) Thurman of Monticello and Cynthia Elliott of Somerset; a son, David Greene (and the late, Beth) Elliott II of Glendale; two sister’s Bobbie Gail (and Mark) Morgan of Texas and Carolyn (and Jack) Simpson of Georgia; a grandson, David James Elliott of Glendale; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Thelma is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, David “D.G” Elliott; and two sisters, Elaine Johnson and Faye Bastin.
Graveside services will be at 11:00AM on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Middleburg Cemetery.
