Thelma Mae Stargle Chansler, of Windsor, died Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at the Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. She was 75.
She was born in Pulaski County, October 15, 1948, to the late Evertt E. and Cora Rena Pevley Stargle. Thelma was a homemaker and a wonderful caregiver. In early years, she worked in a factory, in fast food services and at the Hickory Hills Market. She was a member of Jennie’s Chapel United Methodist Church in Windsor.
Thelma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Riley Chansler; her daughters, Tammy Coe and Elizabeth Daniel; her brothers, Herman, Leonard, David and Jesse Stargle; and her sisters, Ruth Huff and Helen Luttrell.
She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Cochran (and Doug) of Liberty; her sons, J.L. Stargle (and Diane) of Russell Springs, Mike Stargle (and Nellie) of Russell Springs, Thomas Daniel of Windsor and Jesse Chansler of Windsor; her sister, Dorothy Stargle of Windsor; her seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Phill Jombs of Nirobi, Kenya.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Jennie’s Chapel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Lee Stargle, Jared Stargle, Jonah Stargle, James Stargle, Ethan Cochran and Doug Cochran.
