Shirley Gay (Watson) Patton

Shirley Gay Patton, 81, of Liberty, KY, died Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at Casey County Hospital.  She was a native of Casey County, born May 12, 1942 to the late Homer and Matrie Parton Watson. 

Shirley was a retired seamstress with the Liberty Sewing Factory.  She loved to sew and quilt, and loved to play bingo and the lottery.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Patton, who she wed April 30, 1960; her daughters, Mechelle Giles and Angela Patton Wethington.

Shirley is survived by her son, Bobby Patton, Jr. of Liberty; her brother, Johnny Ray Watson, Larry Gene Watson and Stanley Watson; her sisters, Diane Watson and Sandy Lowe; six grandchildren, Shannon, Randy Jr., Natasha, Tim, Robin, and Ethan; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Friday, May 10, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.  Bro. Hershel Lawhorn will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 2:00PM Friday at the funeral home.
