Shirlene (Sanders) Scott

Shirlene Sanders Scott, 76 years of age, entered into rest on January 2, 2025.

She was born in Liberty, Kentucky, to her late parents, Omer and Eva Sanders. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Carol Wethington, Danny Sanders, Sharon Martin, and Joey Sanders.

Shirlene will be remembered as a woman that loved her family deeply, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being outside, watching birds and gardening.

Shirlene is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 61 years, Gilbert Scott and her loving daughters, Darlene Piper (Dana) and Arlene Brooks (John). She was the proud grandmother of Chelsea Holstein, Cory Piper, Zachary Franks, and Taylor Franks; great-grandmother of Madelyn Holstein and Isabelle Piper; and a dear sister of Donnie Sanders (Mona).

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at Stith Funeral Home, 7500 U.S. Hwy 42, Florence, Kentucky 41042, beginning at 4:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 6:00 p.m. The burial will take place at Whited Cemetery, Liberty, Kentucky on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Online condolences and memories may be shared with the family by visiting www.stithfuneralhome.com.
