Scharlene Terrill

Scharlene Terrill, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at her home. She was 79.

Born on December 24, 1946, in Hamilton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Vitis Rodgers and Nettie Lee Rodgers. Scharlene found great joy in tending to her garden and canning food. She loved decorating a festive home each Christmas season. Along with being a homemaker, Scharlene was a small business owner who proudly owned and operated Terrill’s Discount. Above all, she was devoted to her family, whose love was the center of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby Terrill, who she wed on December 26, 1969; four daughters, Regina (and Jamie) Tinsley, Rachel (and Bart) Woodrum, Robin (and Matt) Murphy, and Jenny (and Blake) Wesley; seven grandchildren, Wyatt Murphy, Lauren Woodrum, Clara Woodrum, Jaelyn Tinsley, Hagen Wesley, Bryson Wesley, and Brock Wesley; four brothers, Jerry Rodgers, Ronald Rodgers, Donald Rodgers, and David Rodgers; and six sisters, Wanda Bryant, Gloria Luttrell, Rita Burton, Debra (and Guy) Laman, Judy (and Tom) Spagnoletti, and Glenda Rodgers.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Jackie Rodgers.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Reggie Tipton officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Matt Murphy, Jamie Tinsley, Bart Woodrum, Blake Wesley, Wyatt Murphy, Bryson Wesley, and Hagen Wesley.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jaelyn Tinsley, Lauren Woodrum, Clara Woodrum, and Brock Wesley.
