Sara Jean Borntrager

Sara Jean Borntrager, of Liberty, passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.

She was born April 30, 1951, in Goshen, IN to the late Harold and Malinda Burkholder Miller.  Sara was a homemaker and known for her accomplished cooking and sewing skills.  She was a member of the Casey Amish Mennonite Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Miller.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Borntrager; her sons James (and Laura) Borntrager, Joseph (and Dorcas) Borntrager, Steven (and Lena) Borntrager, Philip (and Mary) Borntrager, Jason (and Jennifer) Borntrager and John Mark (and Dorothy) Borntrager; her brother, H. Mark (and Betty) Miller; and her sister, LeAnn (and John) Borntrager.

Funeral services for Sara will be at 10:00AM Saturday, October 11, 2025, at the Casey Amish Mennonite Church with Lester Beachy and Melvin Beachy officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM Friday, October 10, 2025, at the church.
