Russell Godbey Obituary
GODBEY, Russell Glenn, 76, peacefully went into the arms of his beloved Lord on the afternoon of March 17, 2019, in Tucson, Arizona.
He entered this world July 3, 1942, in Bethelridge, Kentucky, the eleventh of thirteen children born to Pleasant Wesley Godbey and Mary Ellen Sneed Godbey.
He was preceded in death by his siblings: James Robin Godbey (Dorothy); Clara Mae Godbey; Erman Wesley Godbey (Carolyn Sue); Erma Lee Godbey; William Thomas Godbey “Bill” (Lucy); Marvin Sears Godbey (Joyce); Clarence Roy “Chuck” Godbey (Sandi); Margaret Ivadeen “Ivy” Garber (Robert); Ada Irene Murrell (Jim); Virginia Marie Godbey; and Kenneth David Godbey.
He is survived by: his brother, Donald Gene Godbey (Nancy); his first wife, Luminosa Spencer; daughter, Gail Marie Godbey; daughter Mary Gwyn Westman (Joshua); and his two granddaughters, Emilia Adele Westman and Gwyneth Noel Westman.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 4:00 P.M. Friday, March 29, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Bethelridge Cemetery, with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard.
