Ruby Clements

Ruby Clements, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at the Casey County Hospital. She was 89.

Born on August 29, 1936, in Casey County, she was a daughter to the late Herbert and Opal Helm Patton. Ruby was a retired seamstress at OshKosh. She enjoyed the simple things in life and made sure her three children did the same. Ruby loved her music and would never miss a chance to dance when the opportunity arose.

She is survived by her three children, Dale Clements of Liberty, Mike (and Lynda) Clements of Fowler, Indiana and Tonya (and Joe Bert) Jones of Lebanon; one brother, Otis Patton of Liberty; five grandchildren, Rodney Clements, Coda Clements and Fawn Clements of Indiana, Dustin (and Hollie) Clements of Stanford and Dacoda Goode of Lebanon; eight great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a special friend, who Ruby loved and considered as a daughter, Patty Luttrell of Liberty.

Ruby is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin “Diddle” Clements, whom she wed August 24, 1952; two brothers, Willard Patton and Lowell Clyde Patton; one grandson, Mikey Jo Clements; and a great granddaughter, Aurora Claire Clements.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Friday, May 22, 2026, from 5:30 P.M. to 8:00 P.M at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home and Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 8:00 A.M. until time of service at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Joe Bert Jones, Rob Kidd, Rhonda Patton-Garrett, Ritchie Aaron Livengood, Marshall Garrett and Gary Bell.

Memorial contributions are requested to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting funeral expenses.
