Ronnie D. Means, of Waynesburg, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024, in Danville, KY. He was 68.
Born August 2, 1956, in Lincoln County, KY, he was a son of Maurine Godbey Means and the late Julius Leroy Means. Ronnie was a former heavy equipment operator, having been self-employed and working for IBEW for several years. He loved all dogs, but boxers were his favorite. He also collected knives and loved classic cars.
Survivors include his mother, Maurine Godbey Means of Waynesburg; son, Ronnie Stephen Means of Yosemite; daughter, Chelsy Means of Waynesburg; brothers, Garry Means of Liberty and Roger (and Beverly) Means of Yosemite; sister, Kathy Hatter of Waynesburg; 3 grandchildren, Kalisa Watson, Iris Means, and Kaya Means; and his former wife, Lisa Means of Lexington.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Lloyd and Robin Means; and sister, Debbie Rose.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Saturday, September 7, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until 1:00PM on Saturday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Steve “Perk” Perkins, Dustin Means, Javon Hatter, Donnie Douglas, Bob Estes, Teddy Stafford, and Clayton Reed.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the funeral home to help offset funeral expenses.
