Rodney Goode Obituary

Rodney Thomas Goode, a beloved resident of London, Kentucky, was born on December 5, 1945, in Los Angeles, California. He was the cherished son of the late George Clifton “Kip” Goode and Ruth Violet Ahlenstorf Goode. Rodney was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Dukepoo Goode, who preceded him in death.

He was a devoted father to three loving daughters: Kelly Dukepoo of London, Bernadette Luttrell and her husband Monte of Liberty, Kentucky, and Mary Stokes of Keavy, Kentucky. Rodney is also survived by his brother, George Goode of California, and five grandchildren: Joseph Anthony Manning, Dorothy Ann Cooper, David Y. Melton, Caleb I.T. Wells, and Amy Ann Garcia, along with nineteen great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends who mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents and wife, Rodney was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Carlos Garcia and Jessica Stokes, and a brother, Huey Goode. Rodney was a loving father, husband, grandfather, and friend.  He proudly served his country in the United States Navy.  He had a passion for baseball and was an avid Cincinnati Reds fan. He attended St. Williams Catholic Church, which he greatly enjoyed attending. Rodney will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Rodney Thomas Goode departed this life on Monday, July 21, 2025, at the age of 79 years, 7 months, and 16 days.

The funeral mass for Rodney Thomas Goode will be conducted at 1 pm Friday at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Clementsville, Kentucky. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

The family of Rodney Thomas Goode will receive friends beginning at 11 am Friday until the service hour of 1 pm at St. Bernard Catholic Church.
