Rebecca “Bea” Wheeler, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Jewish Hospital – U of L Health. She was 66.
Born on May 24, 1959, in Casey County to the late John William Hogue and Lillian Faye Shoopman Hogue. Rebecca was a dedicated caregiver. She previously worked as a C.N.A at Liberty Care Center and Casey County Hospital. She was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. Rebecca loved watching old classic T.V. shows and horror movies.
She is survived by two sons, John (and Sharon) Grider of Shepherdsville and Lewis Grider of Danville; a daughter, Bethany Wesley of Liberty; two brothers, Johnny Ray (and Shelia) Hogue of Liberty and Tommy Hogue of Campbellsville; one sister, Linda Sue (and Harold) Widener of Cincinnati; two grandchildren, Dakota and Logan; and one great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Wheeler.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Liberty United Methodist Church with Bro. Rodney Koger officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Liberty United Methodist Church.
