Rachel Nicole Elmore Goodman

Rachel Nicole Elmore Goodman was born March 4, 1980, in Danville, KY, to Mary Katherine Cravens Elmore Sneed and the late Roger Elmore.

She departed this life on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at home surrounded by her family after a long 2-year, 10 month and 11-day battle with cancer.

Rachel was a member of the First Baptist Church of Yosemite where she served as song leader and Sunday school teacher. Rachel loved to be outside working in her flower beds, especially her roses. In her younger years she enjoyed camping, fishing, and deer hunting.  She worked as a caregiver and manager of Dollar General in Yosemite prior to her illness.

She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Mary Katherine and Dean Sneed; her sons, Devin Ray and James Dean Goodman; her granddaughters, Kaylee Jade Grider, Katie Nicole Goodman and unborn, Annie Oaklee Goodman; her brothers, Jarod Paul Elmore and Justin Adams; her nephews, Gunnar and Bo Elmore; and her special cousins, Renita Watson and Alice Goble.

Funeral services will be at 1:00PM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at First Baptist Church of Yosemite with Bro. David Harmon officiating.  Burial will follow in the First Baptist Church of Yosemite Cemetery.

Family will receive visitors from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the church.

Pallbearers will be Devin Goodman, James Goodman, Hunter Emerson, Jarod Elmore, Gunnar Elmore, Eugene Watson and Christian Board.
