Oscar Kenneth "Ken" Brown

Oscar Kenneth Brown, age 88, of Mt. Sterling, KY, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 22, 2025.  Ken was born in Liberty, KY on April 1, 1937, to the late Oscar and Ruth Games Brown.  Ken retired from IBM where he worked for many years.  He also proudly served his country in the Air Force.  Ken enjoyed traveling and camping with his family. He spent countless hours in his many flower gardens.  Ken was of the Christian faith.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeanette Brown of Mt. Sterling; his son, Kenneth “Buddy” (Ginger) Brown of San Antonio, TX; 2 grandsons, Kenneth Winn Brown and Kolten Brown; several nieces and nephews; and 1 sister, Aline Brown Mosley.

Besides his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his daughter Patricia G. Brown.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Herald & Stewart Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.    Officiating will be Todd Wiley.

Burial will follow at Caney Fork Cemetery in Liberty, KY at 2:00PM Saturday, September 27, 2025.
