Nellie Coleman, of Liberty, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025, at the Casey County Hospital. She was 90.
She was born October 22, 1934, in Casey County, KY to the late Asure C. and Bessie Ellis Miller. Nellie was a seamstress with Liberty Sportwear and Osh Kosh. She was a member of Walnut Hill Separate Baptist Church and enjoyed raising her grandkids.
Nellie is survived by her daughters, Patricia Luttrell of Liberty, Bonnie Luttrell of Colorado Springs, CO and Carolyn Luttrell of Liberty; her brother, Newell Bryant Miller of Ohio; her grandchildren, Sam Luttrell, Jacob Luttrell, Dustin Clements (and Hollie Carrier), Bill Norris and Kim Brooks; and several great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, a former police chief of Russell Springs, Danny Luttrell; a granddaughter, Bridgette Elliott; a great-granddaughter, Amanda Elliott; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Nellie will be 2:00PM on Friday, April 18, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in South Fork Cemetery. Sam Luttrell, Jacob Luttrell, Dustin Clements and Bryson Luttrell will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, April 18, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral from 12:00PM to 2:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may go to the American Cancer Society.
