Neil Meece

Neil Meece, passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at his home in Dunnville. He was 70.

Born on October 10, 1950, in Casey Co., he was the son of the late Selby and Pauline Harris Meece. He was a night watchman for Tarter’s and former truck driver for Tarter’s and the Barry Davis Gate Shop. He was a jokester and enjoyed making people laugh. Neil was a US Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lay Meece; daughters, Michelle Bennett of Clinton, MS and Tammy (Jimmy) Phelps of Liberty; son, Jason Meece; sister, Dina Moore of Fishers, IL; 3 grandchildren, Bradley, Tyler, and Wyatt; and 2 great-grandchildren, Caroline and Liam.

In addition to his parents, Neil is preceded in death by a son, Neil Meece, Jr.; brothers, Gary, Luke, and Ray Meece; and sisters, Wanda Luttrell and Juanita York.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM Friday, October 8, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Thomastown Cemetery with military funeral honors by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
