Nancy Jean Strong Snow, of Liberty and a beloved mother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the home of her daughter in Lexington, KY with family and her beloved dogs “Jake” and “Skye” by her side. She was 79 years old.
Born October 31,1945, in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of James Warren Strong and Mary Elizabeth Richardson Evans. Nancy was the widow of Riley “Toby” Snow, who passed away on August 22, 2002, having been married for 30 years.
Nancy retired from the Casey County Primary Care Clinic in October 2021. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse for over 55 years having graduated from the Danville School of Nursing in Danville, KY in 1965. She served patients and her community at the University of Kentucky Hospital, Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, Casey County Hospital, and the Casey County Primary Care Clinic.
Nancy is survived by the two loves of her life, daughters Connie Sue New (Troy Hauck) of Harvest, AL and Rhonda Jean Snow-Cantrell (Rick) of Lexington, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Nancy is preceded in death by three brothers, Garland Davis, Hershel Davis, and Jack Lawhorn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial at Glenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation be sent to the American Cancer Society or the American Red Cross, Bluegrass Area Chapter.
