Matthew Burke Obituary

Matthew Craig Burke, of Aiken, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020, at Augusta University Medical Center in Georgia. He was 37.

Born on September 2, 1982, in West Palm Beach, Florida, he was the son of Don Richard Burke, Sr. and Virginia Boyd Burke. Matthew was a plumber for Construction King, LLC. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mudding. Matthew was an avid Miami Dolphins fan. He was a former firefighter for Poplar Springs Fire Department.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a daughter, Kiera Burke of Aiken, South Carolina; his wife, Julia Burke of Aiken, South Carolina; two brothers, Michael Burke and Donnie Burke, Jr., both of Liberty; and a nephew, Michael Burke, Jr. Other survivors include a host of other family members and friends.

Funeral services for Matthew Burke will be held privately for family only. Burial will be held at Glenwood Cemetery.
