Mary Roy

Mary Roy, of Dunnville, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022. She was 96.

Born on April 9, 1926, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Jody and Montie Thomas. Mary attended Thomas Ridge Church. She enjoyed gardening, poetry, reading, and truly loved the Lord. After raising her family in Mason, Ohio, Mary retired back to her homestead in Dunnville, Kentucky.

She is survived by a daughter, Judy (Jim) Kerrigan of Ridge Manor, Florida; two sons, Gary (Beverly) Roy of Valparaiso, Indiana and Monty (Sherry) Roy of Burlington; six grandchildren, Scott Rexroat, Andy Rexroat, Christy Curry, Brian Roy, Aaron Roy, and Matthew Roy; two great-grandchildren, Duncun Curry and Benjamin Curry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Vernison Roy, who passed away on December 23, 2010; two sisters, Lola York and Gladyn Minton; and two brothers, Oris Thomas and Roy Dean Thomas.

The funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Hill officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Ridge Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
