Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Hendrickson Lawhorn, of Liberty, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Liberty Care and Rehab. She was 90.
Born on May 25, 1933, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Dennie and Blanche Burress Hendrickson. Mary was a secretary for Casey County Schools and a homemaker, as well. She was a member of Liberty First Christian Church, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #30, the DAV Auxiliary, and the Casey Swingers. She enjoyed reading, farming, and raising a garden.
She is survived by a son, Tim (Pam) Lawhorn of Liberty; and a daughter, Karen (Mark) Reynolds of Campbellsville.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bennie Russell Lawhorn, who passed away on September 5, 2019; and two brothers, Garland Hendrickson and Morris Hendrickson.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Hershel Lawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
