Martha Fortney Obituary

Martha Fortney, of Knifley, KY, formerly of Galion, OH, passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021, at Somerwoods Nursing Home in Somerset, KY.

Born January 10, 1938, in Galion, OH, she was a daughter of the late Harry E. and Delta Chubb Sharp. Martha was a former employee of Big Bear Grocery Store in Columbus, OH and a member of the United Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Durward Frank Fortney of Knifley, KY and two stepchildren, Michelle C. Pelchy and James A. Fortney.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:30PM on Friday, December 31, 2021, at the Iberia Cemetery in Iberia, OH under the direction of the Snyder Funeral Home in Galion, OH. There will be no visitation.
