Luke Dee Wilson, of Liberty, passed away suddenly on Thursday, September 26, 2024, in Nancy. He was 25.
Born on October 23, 1998, in Danville, Kentucky, he was the son of Richard and Barbara Durham Wilson, of Liberty. Luke loved deer and turkey hunting, fishing, coon hunting, and playing cornhole. He was a 2018 Casey County High School graduate and a self-employed logger. He was always willing to help others in need.
In addition to his parents, Luke is survived by two sisters, Lacie Diana (Ian) Mikesell of Liberty and Lily Ann (William) Wilson of Yosemite; paternal grandfather, Garland Wilson of Liberty; nephew, Lincoln Mikesell; niece, Lemon Mikesell; and a host of honorary brothers, sisters, moms, and dads.
Luke is preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Carol Diana Wilson; maternal grandfather, James Larry Durham; and maternal grandmother, Elsie Pauline Ponder.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Poplar Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, September 30, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
