Lillie Louise Emerson Obituary

Lillie Louise Emerson, of Liberty, died Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at her son’s home. She was 84.

Louise was born June 21, 1940, in Casey County to the late Ernest and Nora Davis Grant.

She was a retired janitor with the Casey County Board of Education. Louise was a member of Rheber Church of Nazarene and was an active member her whole life. She enjoyed gardening, working in the yard and with her flowers. But one of her favorite things was spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rollin Lyle Emerson; her son, Tim Emerson; and her siblings, Herman Grant, Herbert Grant, Ray Grant, Eupha Caudill, Opha “Deen” Gardner, Faye Blevins and Hilda Blanch Grant.

She’s survived by her sons, Todd Emerson of Hollywood, FL and Troy (and Michelle) Emerson of Liberty; her grandchildren, Sydney, Aleigha, Lucas, Abby and Kayla; and her great-grandchildren, Grace, Branson, Jackson, Hagen, Theo and Atlee.

Funeral services will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 15, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Phillip Patton officiating.  Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.

The family will receive visitors from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Saturday, February 15, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Lake Cumberland.
