Lena Lynn Gosser, of Liberty, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at Casey County Hospital. She was 67.
Born September 5, 1954, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late William Loyd Lynn and Mae Cochran Lynn. Mrs. Gosser was a member of the Liberty United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she was known lovingly as “Nanny” by her grandchildren. Mrs. Gosser was a retired cook for the Casey County Schools.
Survivors include her daughters, Julia (and Sam) Wood of Liberty, Leanna (and Cole) Caven of Morganfield, and Bethany (and Justin) Terwilliger of Dunnville; brother, Larry (and Carolyn) Lynn of Frankfort; sisters, Carol (and Hollis) Baldock of Liberty, Linda Singleton of Bethelridge, Brenda (and Milton) Withers-Wade of Russell Springs, and Sharon (and Bill) Marples, Audrey (and Marion) Atwood, and Beverly (and Mark) Payton, all of Liberty; 5 grandchildren, Nash, Max, Reed, Zane, and Jax; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
Mrs. Gosser was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Garry Leon Gosser, who passed away on August 23, 1996; one infant daughter; and brothers, Junior and Bobby Lynn.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church with Bro. Cole Caven officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8PM and on Tuesday from 8AM-12Noon. There will also be visitation on Tuesday from 1-2PM at Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Cole Caven, Sam Wood, Justin Terwilliger, Greg and Tony Withers, and Justin Payton. Honorary pallbearers will be Nash, Max, and Reed Terwilliger, Zane Caven, and Jax Wood.
