Laura Lee (Holland) Fox

Laura Lee Holland Fox, of Dunnville, was united with her Savior on Sunday, December 7th, 2025, at her home. The 71 year old retired teacher, dedicated her life to teaching history to the children of Casey County and found immense joy in bringing the stories from the past to life for eager minds.

Born November 8th, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee Holland and Laura Ruth Bingham Kirby. Laura obtained her Bachelor’s degree in education from Campbellsville University and both her Master’s degree and Rank I from Western Kentucky University. 

Laura began her career in education as a proud teacher and cheer coach for the Phelps Eagles. She continued her teaching career at Casey County Middle School and then served as the Gifted and Talented instructor for the Casey County School District. Mrs. Fox, as her students called her, was proud to launch the KYA program for the students of Casey County. 

Laura was a dedicated member of Dunnville Christian Church, teaching her women's bible study for over 30 years, and serving countless hours at church events and vacation bible schools. Laura had a deep passion for service to the Lake Cumberland Emmaus Community, serving as lay director and on numerous spiritual walks. 

Laura leaves behind her husband, Charles Steve Fox, the two were married on August 30th, 1974, her two sons, Jason (and Emily) Fox of Elizabethtown and Charlie (and Natalie) Fox of Lexington; and her five grandchildren, Stella Claire, Vivian Carol, Stanley Charles, Boone Thomas, and Clara Rose Fox; and her step-father, Thomas Eugene Kirby of Dunnville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Friday, December 12th, 2025, at Dunnville Christian Church with her sons, Jason and Charlie Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Thomastown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-9PM Thursday, December 11th, 2025, and on Friday from 8:00AM until 11:00AM at Dunnville Christian Church.

Pallbearers will be Kulwant Singh, David Sears, Terry Salyers, Kyle Terry, Charlie Fox, and Jason Fox. Honorary pallbearers will be Stanley Fox, Boone Fox, Danny Miller, and Steve Jones.
