Kenneth K. Binder, of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was 86.
He was born on May 5, 1939, in Holyoke, MA to the late Dr. Harold Jacob Binder and Mildred Haggarty Binder.
Kenneth was a graduate of the Cornell Hotel School and was a retired hotel and resort manager. He managed the Caneel Bay St. John Resort and the Grand Teton Lodge Company in Jackson Hole, WY. Kenneth loved to barbecue and enjoyed chili cookoffs. In his early years, he enjoyed playing tennis and golfing. He was a US Marine Corp veteran and attended St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Danville, KY.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jan Shoopman Binder of Danville, whom he married on June 9, 1969; his sons, Kirby K. Binder and his wife, Amy of Franklin, TN and Casey P. Binder and his wife, Kelly of Parker, CO; and his four grandchildren, Daisy Binder, Oliver Finn Binder, Bailey Binder and Gavin Binder
Cremation rites are being honored for Kenneth. A private family gathering will take place at a later date.
In memory of Kenneth, memorial contributions may be made to the Danville-Boyle County Humane Society.
