Keith Phelps, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was 48.
Born on September 20, 1973, in Liberty, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Thomas and Christine “Bobbie” Godbey Phelps. Keith was a Christian man. He was a wonderful husband that loved his children and grandchild more than anything. He enjoyed riding four wheelers, collecting baseball cards, talking on the CB radio, and spending time outdoors. He made his living as a trader.
He is survived by his wife, Shannon Lee Barlow Phelps, who he wed on October 4, 1995; seven sons, Joe Phelps, Justin Phelps, Jordan Phelps, Shawn Phelps, Kevin Phelps, Jaydan Phelps, and Dylan Phelps; two daughters, Destiny (Joseph) Franklin and Tracy Phelps; a grandchild, Joshua Franklin; a brother, Thomas Dale (Melody) Phelps of Woodstock; a sister, Joann (Ronnie) Tharp of Junction City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by two unborn children.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Valley Oak Cemetery with Bro. Gary Whitaker officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
