Junior Owens

Junior Owens of Ponce DeLeon, Florida, formerly of Dunnville, KY, passed on December 26, 2020 at his home. He was 80.

Born January 14, 1940, in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late Alvin Owens and Thelma Gilpin Owens. He loved to fish and weld. He was a loving husband, dad, and poppy to his grand babies and great grand babies.

He is preceded in death by a daughter, Regina Suzzette Owens; his parents; and 2 brothers, Gerald Owens and Dean Owens (infant).

Survivors include his wife, whom he wed on June 24, 1961, Wanda Lee Owens of Ponce DeLeon, FL; two daughters, Chris (Greg) Haste of Bethelridge and Sheila Owens of Pensacola, FL; three grandkids, Paula (Kyle) Corder and Pennie Haste, both of Bethelridge and Joshua (Margaret Wetherell) Tompkins of Destin FL; three great-grand babies, Sadie Corder and Wyatt Corder, both of Bethelridge and Emma Wagner of Destin, FL; three sisters, Louise (Henry) Lawson, Shirley (Delbert) Cundiff and Geneeda (Benny) Vaughn, all of Dunnville; three brothers, Wayne Owens of Liberty, Phillip Owens of Dunnville, and Dale Owens of Nicholasville.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2020, at Salem Cemetery with Bro. Darrell Vance officiating.

A walk-through visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 2, 2020, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Please enter through the front doors (Campbellsville Street side) when you arrive at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings ARE required.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Tompkins, Kyle Corder, Michael Lee, Jeffrey Owens, Mark Lee, and Delbert Cundiff, Jr.
