Julita Mae Scott, of Van Nuys, California, passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021, at Northridge Medical Center in Northridge, California. She was 61.
Born on July 7, 1959, in Lebanon, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Leslie N. Scott and Iva Louise Burchett. Julita was a waitress for many years. She belonged to the DAV and the Beaver Creek Native American tribe. She loved photography, animals, and nature.
She is survived by her significant other, Edward Kichi of Van Nuys, California; a sister, Cherokee Scott Greene of Liberty; two brothers, Mitchell Scott of Burkesville and Leslie Leon Scott of Harrodsburg; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her three sons, Jeremy Hideg, Jacob Hideg, and Daniel Hideg; a sister, Barbara Scott Moss; a brother, Randy Scott; and a half-brother, James Roy Luttrell.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Bearl King officiating. Burial will follow in Mays Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings ARE required.
