Judy Kay Sharp, of Dunnville, passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Jean Waddle Care Center in Somerset. She was 72.
Born on August 28, 1952, in Liberty, she was a daughter of the late Cornelius Milford and Nettie Ann Matherly Stephens. Judy was a clerk for many years. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and to SEC tournaments. She was an avid UK Wildcats fan. Judy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren most of all.
She is survived by two daughters, Melissa “Missy” Sharp of Adair County and Margaret Sharp of Middleburg; her companion, Lawrence Thomas of Dunnville; three grandchildren, Allison Garmon, Jameson Daniel, and Jayson Owens; two great-grandchildren, Aubree Rey and Averee Lane; and a sister, Roseleen Luttrell.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Janson Sallee; brothers, Vertis, Edgar, Garvey, Mervin, Verlen, Carroll, Jerry, and Jackie Stephens, and Charlie and Hollis Pevley; and sisters, Angie Davis, Jewell Stone, Hila Jean Gray, Norma Leen Caruthers, and Devonda Luttrell.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Greg Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Thomastown Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Thomastown Cemetery fund at 2303 Old Clear Springs Rd. Russell Springs, KY 42642 or Hospice of Lake Cumberland at 100 Parkway Dr. Somerset, KY 42503.
Pallbearers will be Trey Garmon, Steve Davis, Jayson Owens, Jeremy Stephens, Roy Thomas, and Kerry Radford.
