Judy (Sneed) Allen

Judy Sneed Allen, of the Walltown community, passed away on Sunday, January 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 66.

Born June 21, 1959, in Casey County, KY, she was a daughter of the late Elger D. Sneed, Sr. and Mary Frances Godbey Sneed. Judy was a member of the Bluegrass Pike Baptist Church. She enjoyed crafting, quilting, origami, and needlepoint. Judy was a former custodian at Casey County High School.

Survivors include her husband, whom she wed on November 29, 1975, Sam Allen: son, Wayne Allen (Jeff Crump); five brothers, Alvie (Alice) Sneed, Raymond (Darlene) Sneed, Dean (Mary K.) Sneed, Gerald (Gloria) Sneed, and Kenneth (Linda) Sneed: two sisters, Brenda Carman, and Ollie Tackett; and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by four brothers, Elger Sneed, Jr., Edward Sneed, Russell Sneed, Eugene Sneed, and David Sneed; and six sisters, Opal Sneed, Edith Sneed, Elvera Salyers, Edna Atwood, and Ella Fayrene McAninch, and Elizabeth “Betty” Salyers.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Alltop officiating. Burial will follow in the Whited Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-8PM on Friday, January 9, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
