Joseph Evan Jeffries

Joseph Evan Jeffries was born March 27, 1938, and departed this life Friday, September 19, 2025, reaching the age of 87 years. He was the son of the late Spurgeon and Lovenia (Wilkinson) Jeffries.     

He is survived by: his wife, Carol Jeffries; one son, Christopher Patton (Christine); and one daughter, Nicki Rowe (Barry); and one niece, Renee Church; along with a host of family and friends who mourn his passing.  

Mr. Jeffries was a professor for University of Kentucky and Somerset Community College until his retirement.

He who will be sadly missed by all who knew him.        

The family will receive friends on Friday, September 26, 2025, between 5 pm – 8 pm in the chapel of the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 11 am at the Hicks-Vaughn Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will be held at Brush Creek Cemetery in Liberty, KY, at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
