Jonathan Allen Underwood

Jonathan Allen Underwood, of Stanford, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at University of Kentucky Medical Center. He was 40.

Born on April 1, 1985, in Springfield, Ohio, he was a son of Timothy Allen Underwood and the late Nina Wethington Underwood. Jonathan was a driller for The Allen Company. He enjoyed the Jeep club and going fishing, hunting, and camping. He was a dependable family man with an adventurous spirit. Jonathan was baptized in the Catholic faith.

In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Carrie Stratton Johnson-Underwood; two daughters, Alyssa Underwood and Ashley Johnson; three sons, Luis Quiles, Michael Johnson, and Nicholas Johnson; ten grandchildren; a sister, Tanya (Todd) Wethington-Stevens; three nephews, Tristan Cloyd, Tanner Cloyd, and Ethan Stevens; and a niece, McKenna Stevens.

The funeral mass will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Father Jinto Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
