John Keith Rodgers, of Liberty, passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Russell County Hospital. He was 55.
He was born on August 14, 1970, in Anderson, IN to Betty Jean Wethington Rodgers and the late Vernon “Gene” Rodgers.
Keith was a factory worker for many years for Dana and for Amazon and had recently worked for Tarter Gate Industries before his illness. He was of the Christian faith. Keith was an avid toy collector and enjoyed collecting toy cars. He enjoyed telling stories with family and friends. Keith was a true jokester and loved to make people laugh.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Lisa Kaye and Tanyette Suzanne Rodgers.
In addition to his mother, Keith is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Rodgers, whom he married on July 3, 1998, of Liberty; a daughter, Cara Haven Rodgers of Liberty; a son, John Harley (and Kathleen) Rodgers of Columbia; his sisters, Neva Jean Ginter of Bowling Green and Patricia Kelly (and Steve) Cain of Liberty; two grandsons, Cooper and Theodore Rodgers; a special cousin, Earl Rodgers; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Dwight Coffman officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
