Joe Douglas

Joe Douglas, age 44, passed away at his home in Liberty on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, surrounded by family.

Born August 25, 1976, in Cincinnati, OH, he was a son of Malcolm Douglas and Shirley Hamm Smith. Joe graduated high school in Franklin, IN in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling. He also had a “green thumb” when it came to trees and poinsettias. Joe liked classic and muscle cars.

Survivors include his father, Malcolm Douglas of Liberty; mother, Shirley (and Mike) Smith of Trafalgar, IN; brother, David Douglas of Liberty; sister, Denise (and Jr.) Sheene of Liberty; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Whited Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12-2 on Sunday at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Please enter through the front doors (Campbellsville Street side) when you arrive at the funeral home. Social distancing guidelines must be followed by everyone in attendance. Facial coverings ARE required.
