Jerry Lee Davis, of Liberty, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Liberty Care Center. He was 76.
He was born April 16, 1948, in Casey County to the late Earl and Nannie Bell Davis. He loved listening to old gospel hymns, enjoyed singing and playing the piano at Salem Methodist Church, where he was member and enjoyed listening to the audio books for the blind. For many years Jerry would sing with The Beaty’s on WKDO and loved to play the guitar and French harp at different churches. Jerry was a huge fan of the Cincinnati Reds and Louisville Cardinals.
In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Davis.
Jerry is survived by his three brothers, John “J.L” Davis of Liberty, Billy Davis of Liberty and Ronald Davis (and Janet) of Liberty; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be 1:00PM Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Ed Parton officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 10:00AM to 1:00PM Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at the funeral home.
