Jerry W. Sandusky

Jerry W. Sandusky, of Liberty, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2026, at Liberty Care and Rehab. He was 84.

Born on July 1, 1942, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late William Thomas Sandusky and Flora Alice Glover Sandusky. Jerry was the owner and operator of his two businesses, Sandusky Insulation and Sandusky Grocery. He was a member of Atwood’s Chapel Church. He was an avid UK Wildcats fan. Jerry enjoyed farming and coaching baseball and softball.

He is survived by three daughters, Alina Sandusky, Paula Sandusky Brown, and Alice Sandusky; a son, Paul (and Izetta) Sandusky; four grandchildren, J.P. (and Lacey Overstreet) Sandusky, Lacey (and Kyle) Cochran, Jonathon Sandusky, and Jase Sandusky; three great-grandchildren, Zetta Sandusky, Talon Sandusky, and Calum Cochran; and a sister, Loretta Murphy.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Charles Sandusky, W.J. “Bill” Sandusky, Eulis “Sonny Boy” Sandusky, Howard Sandusky, Lyle Sandusky, and Ottis Lee Sandusky; and sisters, Geraldine Sandusky, Lucille Sandusky, and Inez Griffith.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Burial will be held privately at Casey County Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to assist the family in offsetting funeral expenses.
