Jerome Francis Lange

Jerome Francis Lange, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at his home.

Born on April 2, 1949, in Minot, North Dakota, he was a son of the late Norbert and Marjorie Foley Lange. Jerome was an organic produce farmer. He was the Worship Leader and a dedicated member at Christ the King Anglican Church. He enjoyed any music but especially loved playing the guitar, fiddle, banjo, and harmonica. Jerome was well-known for playing music at the Bread of Life Café every Friday evening. He was a people person therefore loved large gatherings, visiting friends, and spending time with his family. Jerome also led jail ministry weekly at the Casey Couty Detention Center and loved ministering there.

He is survived by his wife, Paula Elam Lange of Liberty; children, Nathaniel David (Rachel) Lange of Science Hill, Leah Marie Lange of Lexington, Andrew David Lange of Liberty, Emily Jacinta (Aaron) Starr of Columbus, Ohio, and Aaron Michael John (Irina) Lange of Liberty; thirteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, John; and sisters, LaVonne, Jane, Kathleen, Paula, and Lisa.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Steve; and sisters, Mary, Peg, and Pat.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Monday, January 27, 2025, at Christ the King Anglican Church with Father Bob Lemmon officiating. Burial will follow in Christ the King Cemetery.

A funeral reception will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 27, 2025, at the Casey County Pork Producers building.
