Jeffrey Royce Murphy

Jeffrey Royce Murphy, of Lexington, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at his home. He was 53.

Born on October 3, 1968, in Pulaski County, Kentucky, he was the son of Janice Gilpin Murphy and the late John Bearl Murphy. Jeff was Vice President for Marketing & Communications for Saint Joseph Health. He had been a devoted part of Saint Joseph for more than thirty years and left a lasting impression on their ministry. He was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church. He was also a member of the executive committee for LexArts, where he served as vice chair for grants, and was a strong voice in support of the Broadway Live! series at the Lexington Opera House.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Jill (Steve) Floyd of Kings Mtn.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at Glenwood Cemetery with Bro. Greg Powell officiating.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Lexington.
