Jean Young

Jean Carolyn Barham Young, of Liberty, passed away on July 3, 2026, at Liberty Care Center, at the age of 82.

Born on April 10, 1944, in Henderson, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James Thomas Barham (1916-2000) and Vernell Addie Gilliam (1922-2006). She married Curtis Leon Young Sr. on January 25, 1962, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2023, after 60 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her sister, Jennifer Barham Brown; and granddaughter, Brynn Michelle Young.

She is survived by her siblings and their spouses, Jim Barham and Mona Williams of Austin, Texas, and Joe and Gina Barham of Goodlettsville, Tennessee.

She is also survived by her two children, Curtis Leon Young Jr. of Port Orange, Florida and Richard Kristopher Young of La Grange, Kentucky; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

No memorial service is planned at this time.
