James C. ‘Stick” Withers, of Liberty, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. He was 65.
Born on October 12, 1955, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was the son of Cameron Lee and Edna Frances Eads Withers. Stick loved John Deere tractors, going to the stockyard, and enjoyed sports. He retired from Tarter Wood Products and also farmed.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Withers; a son, Cameron Withers (Olivia Gilpin) of Dunnville; three daughters, Jessica (Stacie) Wilkerson of Windsor, Sarah (Jason) Lawrence of Windsor, and Holly (Hagan) Weddle of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a sister, Betty Thomas of Indiana; and five grandchildren, Ashley, Brooke, Haley, Claire, and Alexis.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Frances Sue Gilpin.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Sherman Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in Thomas Ridge Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. on Friday, June 11, 2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Stacie Wilkerson, Jason Lawrence, Hagan Weddle, Larry Brown, Ronnie Warner, and Donald Tarter.
