James Redford Obituary

James Redford, of Danville, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was 74.

Born on June 1, 1950, in Casey County, he was a son of the late Harvey and Beatrice Redford. James attended Worldstown Church of God. He loved fishing, hunting and working on cars. He enjoyed being outside with his dogs and sitting under a good shade tree.  He was a true outdoorsman.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Dalton Redford; his daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Holt; his son, Eric Shane Redford; his brothers, Dean, Daniel, Tom and Roger Redford; and his sister, Helen Redford.

James is survived by three daughters, Melissa (and William) Glover of Danville, Jacqueline (and Jeremy) Luttrell of Lexington, and Samantha (and Eric) Redford of Danville; a son, Anthony (and Stephanie) Redford of Danville; two brothers, Lewis and Billy Redford; his sisters, Debbie Edwards, Connie Sue Luttrell, Bertha Mae Allen, Carol May and Sherry Edwards; twenty grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Maupin officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be William Glover, Cody Glover, Tanner Combs, Steven Cooper, Blake Redford, Logan Luttrell, Jerry Lee Holt and Eric Cavanah. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Luttrell, Skylar Redford, Brayden Redford and Patrick Cross.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
