J.D. Absher Obituary
Jerry “J.D.” Absher, of Hustonville, KY, passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023. He was 73 years old.
Born July 6, 1950, in Casey County, KY, he was the son of the late George Tilford and Mollie Bell Wilham Absher. He was a former employee of U.K. Hospital and spent his life farming. He leaves behind his loving wife, Shirley Ann Gilpin. J.D. enjoyed fishing and collecting knives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Marshall Absher and Ray Snow, and his sisters, Mary Holloway, Kathleen Absher, and Odell Brim.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brothers, Kenneth Absher, of Hustonville, Marion Absher, of Nicholasville, and Joe Absher, of Claysville, and his sisters, Essie Lanehart, of Claysville, and Jean Perry, of McKinney.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Bro. Mike Yocum will officiate. Burial will follow at Cole Spring Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, October 16, 2023, at 6:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Sam Gilpin, Richard Absher, Hunter Gilpin, Dwight Lanehart, Allen Lanehart, Debbie, and Linda.
