Hollis F. Brown, of Hustonville, passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2022, in Lexington, KY. He was 82.
Born April 7, 1940, in Liberty, KY, he was a son of the late Lindsey A. and Frances Smith Rodgers Brown. Hollis was a retired truck driver. He was a member of the Red House Baptist Church in Richmond and recently attended First Baptist Church in Liberty. Hollis was a US Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was an avid sports fan, particularly the Cincinnati Reds.
Survivors include his sons, Brian Keith (and Teresa) Brown of Winston Salem, NC and Michael Kelly (and Lisa) Brown of Harrodsburg; five grandchildren, Katina (and Ronnie) Bailey, Josh (and Sara) Branson, Kristopher (and Jamie) Brown, Nicholas (and Karly) Brown, and Jacob Brown; and 3 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Bennett, and Kashton Brown.
On March 10, 2021, Hollis was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Robinson Brown.
Memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 6, 2022 at First Baptist Church, 300 Hustonville Street, Liberty, KY 42539 with his first cousin, Bro. Jimmy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with military rites by the Casey County Honor Guard.
