Gary B. Monday

Gary B. Monday, of Liberty, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. He was 71.

Born on July 27, 1953, in Casey County, Kentucky, he was a son of the late Wilburn Wesley and Velton Hamm Monday. Gary formerly worked for National Casket Company for several years and then retired from Honeywell after twenty plus years of working there. He enjoyed farming, hot wheels, working with tools, and collecting things. He attended Shady Grove Separate Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marlene Buck Monday, who he wed on June 8, 1974; a daughter, Susan (Robert) Dunaway of Sadieville; and two grandchildren, Kayla Dunaway and Madison Dunaway.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, February 24, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Whited Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
