Frank “Joe Matt” Wethington, age 83, returned home to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 2, 2018, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Mr. Wethington was born July 23, 1935, in Clementsville, Kentucky to the late Clara Virgie Wethington and Joseph Perry “Joe Matt” Wethington, a Clementsville farmer and one of the better liked men of the county. He was married for 56 years to the late Betty Sue Sanders Wethington, whom passed away Dec. 29, 2015.

Frank was past Chairman and President of the Kentucky Water and Wastewater Operators Association (KWWOA), a Founding Member and past President of Blue Lick Optimist Club, and a Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Wethington was a rescue and recovery worker for the Hardin County Water District, which operated the Radcliff sewer system during the 1985 pump station tragedy. He was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory, children: Beverly, Karen (Greg), Jennifer (Jimmy), and Holly; 6 grandchildren: Brittany, Olivia, Casey, Phoebe, Priscilla, Benjamin: 1 great-grandson: Bryant; a sister, Annette (Tom); and a brother, Travis.

Among those who preceded him in death include siblings, Betty Lou, Delores, and Wendell.

Prayer Services will be held at 4:00PM on Friday, December 7, 2018 at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be Friday from 11-4PM at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, December 10, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Clementsville, Kentucky with Father George Otuma officiating. Burial to follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
