Frances McQueary Obituary

Frances Miller McQueary, formerly of Liberty, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Jane Todd Crawford Hospital in Greensburg. She was 86.

Born on August 18, 1939, in Casey County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late John William Miller and Ruth May Peck Miller. Frances retired from Osh Kosh and Liberty Sportswear. She attended Athens Church of Christ. Frances loved working in her flowers and enjoyed logging and selling firewood.  

She is survived by her three sons, Timothy (and Christina) Short of Greensburg, Larry (and Sharon) Short of Liberty and Richard Short of Liberty; her daughter, Pamela (and Kenneth) Rousey of Moreland; her two sisters, Patsy Elmore of Liberty and Irma Ryan of Indiana; 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Chester McQueary; a brother, Ronnie Crawley; four sisters, Alma Faye Latham, Hazel Deloris Taylor, Brenda Weddle and Annetta Rose Crawley; and a great-granddaughter, Oakley Reardon.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Mckinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Johnathan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 1:00PM on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
