Everett Ray Kidd, of Kings Mountain, KY, passed away on Friday, March 18, 2022, in Danville. He was 82.
Born August 19, 1939, in Lincoln Co., KY, he was a son of the late Millard Fred Kidd and Cora Lee Hodge Kidd. Mr. Kidd was a former EMT in Lincoln County, former Stanford Police dispatcher, former WRSL disc jockey, and former member of the Casey County Funeral Squad. He was a US Army veteran. Mr. Kidd was a member of the Corinth First Church of God.
Survivors include his daughters, Janafer Raye (and Paul) Thomas and Crystal Christina Kidd, both of Liberty; sons, Randy Everett Kidd of Waynesburg and Ray Kidd of Texas; sisters, Josephine Sims and Esta Oaks, both of Waynesburg; 3 grandchildren, Tamera, Rance, and Danielle; and 2 great-grandchildren, Eloise and Brody.
Mr. Kidd was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Arlene Kidd, who passed away in 2008; and his brothers, Iven and Joe Kidd.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, March 20, 2022, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Carman officiating. Burial will follow in the Parlor Grove Cemetery in Waynesburg with military honors by the Casey County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 12Noon Sunday until time of services.
Pallbearers will be members of the Casey County Honor Guard.
